This tall ambition according to the seasoned corporate guru could be achieved with the cooperation of staff, students and other major stakeholders in the state. Mrs Olusoga made this known during the Council’s working tour of the main campus at a live interview programme on OOU FM 92.1 radio station. The Pro-Chancellor who was impressed with the infrastructural facilities on ground promised to put in her best with the support of other members of council and the university management to move the university to an enviable pedestal.  She commended the students at the studio for their skills and enjoined them to be well focused throughout their stay in the university.

While responding to a question during the interview, the Ag. Vice-Chancellor, Prof. OlatunjiOlatunde expressed his optimism that with the quality of the membership of the present Council, he had no doubt in his mind that the university was destined for greater heights.

Thereafter, the team visited the staff quarters, faculties of Education, Law and Science. Other places visited were the students’ hostels and the crèche.

It would be recalled that just two weeks ago the Governing Council was on a similar visit to other campuses of the university that took them to Sagamu/ Ikenne, Ayetoro and Ibogun spanning two days.
