Five Law Students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye recently bagged first class degrees at the Bar Final Examinations of the Nigerian Law School released on Thursday, 18th October, 2018.
Speaking on the excellent performance of the students at the Law School, the enthusiastic Dean, Faculty of Law, Olabisi Onabanjo University, Professor C. O. Adekoya expressed his satisfaction that the five students have done the Faculty and indeed the University proud.  He gave the names of the five students as Badejo, Oyebola Oluwatomisin; Adeoye, Bolaji Qudus; Fesojaye, Damilola Christianah; Olusoga, Aderemilekun Elizabeth and Falana, OthnielIdowu.

He extended his gratitude to his colleagues at the Faculty who have done marvelously well at imparting meaningful knowledge to the students and the result of which could be seen by their brilliant performances at the Law school.

He stated that the last set of students of the Faculty were encouraged to always strive and excel, and be the best in whatever they do, during the valedictory service held on 1st August, 2018. He posited that the current 500 level law students (2018/2019) were also being encouraged to improve on the records of their predecessors whenever they get to the Law school.

In order to further encourage the law students and to make them better products, the Dean, Professor Adekoya, disclosed that a method had been designed whereby three lecturers would be assigned to each level, to relate more effectively with the students in areas where they find challenges in registration or lectures and advise accordingly, putting them through clinical methodology approach which is a complete shift from purely traditional method.  This, he opined, will obviously enhance active learning which involves practicals and thereby help the students to improve on their academic performance.

He praised the University Management for assisting the Faculty in no small measure at attaining this enviable feat, while urging the University Management to continue to do more for the Faculty in order to always, record better results at all times that will further boost the rating of the Faculty as well as the performance of the students.
The Dean expressed his unalloyed appreciation to the University Management and indeed the entire University community for supporting the Faculty in achieving this enviable height.
