The newly inaugurated Council of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, led by the Pro-Chancellor Mrs. Mrs Mosun Belo-Olusoga hit the ground running with a 2-day  grueling familiarization tour of the four campuses of the University on Tuesday, 30th May, 2017.

The Council commenced the tour from the Main Campus in Ago-Iwoye and thereafter visited the Remo Campus comprising the Obafemi Awolowo College of Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences in Ikenne.

The following day the Council was at the College of Agricultural Sciences, Ayetoro Campus and College of Engineering and Environmental Studies, Ibogun Campus of the University. While in Ayetoro, members visited the facilities of Faculty of Agricultural Production and Renewable Resources and Faculty of Agricultural Management and Rural Development, the demonstration farms, poultry farm and ICT centre. At Ibogun campus members also inspected their library, instrumentation room and state of the art equipment for the electronics and engineering departments.

At each of the campuses, the Council members were enthusiastically   received by their management team and staff.  Thereafter, there was an interactive session with the staff where some of their requests were presented to the Pro-Chancellor who assured them that Council would look into their complaints after meeting with University Management.

The Council Chairman expressed her happiness with the facilities on ground and advised the staff to embrace the maintenance culture and put the facilities to better use in order to improve their teaching and research activities.

She told the staff that the Council had just be inaugurated less than one week but with determination and co-operation of everybody the University would become one of the best in Nigeria.
