OOU Alumnin Association, North America Chapter Fetes OOU Contigent in Atlanta, Georgia.

It was an evening of warmth, nostalgia and great hopes for the future of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria when the Alumni members of the OOU, North America Chapter hosted the OOU delegation to a dinner at the residence of Dr. (Mrs.) Afolabi Mobolaji. The dinner was held in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday 5th December, 2018 and was attended by some distinguished Alumni members including Dr. Ayo Makinde, Dr. (Mrs) Afolabi Mobolaji, Mr. Bayo Adesanya and Mr. Funmi Abiodun.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde, in his remarks at the Dinner informed the Alumni members of the laudable steps that have been taken and being taken by the Governing Council and Management to improve the fortunes of the University and enumerated the significant developments in the University since his assumption of Office. Prince Odubunmi Solarin, a member of the University Governing Council, also intimated the Alumni of Council’s efforts in repositioning the University and pointed out the positive achievements made so far.

Speaking during the event, the Registrar of the University, Mr.Femi Ogunwomoju informed the Alumni Association members of the various contributions of other Alumni Chapters of the Institution and enjoined the North America Chapter to do all it could towards the development of the University.
In his response on behalf of the Chapter, Dr Ayo Makinde informed the gathering of the Chapter’s delight at the significant progress being made by the University and offered some pieces of advice on ways to further strengthen the University. He assured the visiting team that the Chapter was already working on various forms of assistance to the University and would soon reach out to the University Management on these.

At the end of the dinner, both parties agreed to collaborate further to engender faster development of the University.
