An Olabisi Onabanjo University scholar from the Department of Chemical Sciences; Dr. O. O. Adeyemi has been formally invited by the authorities at the Department of Applied Chemistry, University of Johannesburg Doomfontein Campus, South Africa to join its research group.
In a formal letter sent to the University, Dr. O. O. Adeyemi was invited as a visiting researcher for two weeks from Monday, 20th November, 2017 to 2nd December, 2017.
The letter further stated that during the invitee’s stay in South Africa; he is expected to interact with the University Postgraduate and undergraduate students, give a departmental lecture and significantly interact with colleagues in the department to see how the two Universities could partner together and ultimately create a memorandum of understanding.
The later added that the scholar’s cost of flight, accommodation and general upkeep throughout his stay would be borne by the University.
The statement stressed that by acceptance of the invitation, the scholar would be able to share his wealth of experience with the University as part of African University synergy for economic growth of the African continent.
