The Federal Government has declared Thursday, 12th June, 2025 as public holiday in commemoration of this year’s Democracy Day celebration in Nigeria.
In light of the above, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ayodeji Agboola, has directed that the University be temporarily closed on the said date to enable members of University Community to observe the holiday.
While appreciating the contributions of all categories of staff to the sustenance of democracy, peaceful co-existence and nation-building, Prof. Agboola congratulated the members of the University Community for witnessing this year’s celebration.
However, staff on essential duties are expected to be at their respective duty posts while work resumes on Friday, 13th June, 2025 at 8:00am.
