Professor Ayodeji Olayinka Johnson Agboola holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MB.Ch.B) of the Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), a Master Degree in Oncology and a Doctorate Degree in Molecular Pathology, both of the University of Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom.
He was employed as a Lecturer II in the Department of Morbid Anatomy and Histopathology after a mandatory year of housemanship.
Thereafter, he rose to the position of a Professor in the year 2016, after passing through the ranks in the University.
He has served in various Committees of Senate, Joint Committee of Senate and Council of the University. He has equally served as Director of Linkages, Research and Advancement and Head of Department, Morbid Anatomy and Histopathology. He was the immediate past Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and Secretary, Nigerian Medical Association Ogun State Chapter.
He is currently the Convener, Welfare and Health Committee of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
In addition, he was elected as Dean, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences and was to resume on Wednesday, 1st August, 2018 before he was unanimously elected by the Senate of Olabisi Onabanjo University as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) with effect from 1st August, 2018.
As a distinguished Academic, Professor Ayodeji Olayinka Johnson Agboola attended and presented papers at Local and International Conferences.
He is well published in reputable International and Local Journals with over 45 publications to his credit.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is happily married and blessed with children.
